ABOUT ELLEN
Ellen Macbeth Boomer is freelance writer and editor who’s written varied nonfiction content, including personal essays, cultural criticism, marketing materials, and website copy. As a features writer for Capital Community News in Washington, DC, Ellen covered local events and profiled community leaders. A lifelong traveler, Ellen has visited more than 50 countries and considers traveling on the Trans-Siberian Railway with her father as her most memorable adventure. She earned a BA in English from The George Washington University; an MA in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University; and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Antioch University Los Angeles.
